We’re not talking dodging the dishes here but that sinking feeling at the start of the day or the working week when faced with an ever expanding ‘to do list’.
Well, shrinking your list is within everyone’s reach thanks to Microsoft’s Power Platform, specifically its Power Automate tool which makes it easy to create workflows and automate tasks.
And no, you don’t have to be particularly technical or expert although Microsoft’s learning space does cater for all levels. You just tap into what’s the best fit for you.

For the novice who’s a tad nervous about diving in headfirst, then a great starting point are its pre-built templates. They cover a wide range of use cases, from simple task automation to complex business processes and can help you quickly create solutions without starting from scratch.
Using them can save both time and head space, make you far more efficient and, back to that ‘to do list’, help your day run smoothly and be a little more interesting.
To put it into context, here are some examples:
• Schedule a recurring message
• Post a message to Microsoft Teams when an email arrives in Office 365 Outlook
• Create a task in Planner when a message is added to Microsoft Teams
• Create a daily summary of Planner Tasks by Bucket
• Save email attachments to a SharePoint library and receive a notification
• Send an email when a new item is created in SharePoint
